In Home Services
For individuals, I offer a variety of in-home services to help fix and maintain your keyboard instruments. If a piano is tuned at regular intervals (recommended twice a year), a tuning can be a simple one hour procedure. For pianos that haven’t been tuned for many years, I can give your instrument the proper pitch raise followed by the several tunings needed to restore it to perfect sound. I also provide consultation and estimates for more difficult projects which cannot be done in the home.
Action Regulation and Voicing
In addition to tuning, pianos frequently need other important adjustments. Action regulation is a process in which the working mechanism is adjusted properly to the original manufacturers specifications to make sure that all actions are working properly and that the touch (the weight of the key) is consistent from note to note. Voice is an adjustment in which the color and intensity of tone is made consistent from note to note, I can help you with all your regulation and voicing needs.
